What happens when you ask a 1 yr old to put on his bib.....

I guess it is on....his head that is...LOL!

Life has been going fast and faster here at our house. Almost the end of school for the big kids and I still have lots to decide about my job. I have been planting like a mad woman and trying to clean out to get ready for my Aunt Brenda's birthday party I am hosting in 5 days. GULP. Not alot of other time to do things thanks to work, baseball, running kids, etc..oh...and Ryan.

Ryan had a really bad day yesterday and momma took the brunt of it. He bit me 2 times in the face while I was taking him inside. I knew he was mad we had to go in, but I didn't think he would bite me. He also has a sore bum. This leads me to believe that we have a teether on our hands. Biting+sore bum=usually teething. He knows what he did is wrong and he says he is sorry, so no love lost.

He is speaking in sentences sometimes now. Once in a while I can understand them. His two big phrases are" Daddy eats hot dogs!" and "Daddy drinks pop!" (And yes, daddy does both of those). He has also found ketchup thanks to my dad. Today he dunked his grapes in his ketchup. Ick.

Surgery Date is SET!

Ryan will be having his eyes fixed on June 24. YAY!! No more patches after that. The doctor said that the surgery will be done in a 1/2 hours, but we should be there most of the day. He was pleased with how Ryan's eyes were looking.

And a year later

Nothing has changed except that little baby isn't a baby anymore!!!! Still in love and smitten with him.
We met Ryan on our 3rd Anniversary, and today is 4 years! Poor little bug is home today sick. He spiked a fever at daycare so I had to go get him. He is napping now...sound asleep. Hope he wakes feeling better.

We met a handsome little boy in an orphanage in Murom Russia. We were smitten and fell in love on the spot.

HELP!!

I need some advice. I don't know what to do. My boss just quit at work and they will start looking for her replacement next week. Today, several people have come in the office and asked ME to apply for her job. I don't know that I WANT her job. I like my 3 day week and leaving the crap at the door. I don't know that I even want to work one more day a week much less 2.

So...now for the good parts of it. GREAT for my career. Health insurance through my work is 1/3 the amount we pay for it with Aaron owning his own business. I really like the place I work. I just question if now is the time.

Opinions? Mom's working full time, how do you do it?

I have come to grips with the driving. I found my salvation in a CD that I am LOVING listening to!

Ahhh...Depeche Mode brings back so many wonderful memories and I could listen to the songs over and over and over and...well you get it. Hey, whatever gets me through right?

Our washer is currently on the fritz and I need to go find one soon. Maybe tomorrow night. I am going to start decluttering our house room by room I have decided. I got inspired from looking at other peoples blogs. I am hoping to save most of it for a garage sale I want to get together with our adoption group as a fundraiser. I hope to get positive response to paying it forward for others to be able to adopt.

Oh so true

My mother in law got me a great card for Mother's day. It asked why the mother crossed the road. Inside it said "Well, she didn't exactly say why, but I heard her mumbling something about peace and quiet with her hands covering her ears."
Truer words were never spoken. Today, I almost flew the coop. Uh-huh. I was done. Over it. Ready for lala land.
I know you probably LOVE reading about all the driving, but really, it is all that I do it seems. I have no time to do anything else. I work, do laundry, drive, cook, clean, oh...and take care of kids. 2 times a week I go to the gym, but that is about all the me time I get. I know I know...some get less, but I NEED more right now. My mood is crap, my body hurts from waking up every morning, DREADING the day and all the craziness it will entail.
Work stress is playing into this I know. It has been majorly stressful and non-stop. This too shall pass right?
I was trying to lose some weight before the dreaded class reunion, but instead a few lbs have creeped on. Blech.
I had some really cute pictures to post, but sadly, Ryan destroyed the memory card before I was able to download the pics into the computer. How he got to it in the nano second before I typed on the keyboard I will never know. He is into everything as he should be at this age.
I am off to bed. Ryan decided no nap was going to be had today so all of us are drained.

Drive here, drive there, momma drives you everywhere

I seem to be driving my kids everywhere under the moon. The price you pay when you have teenagers.
Both kids seem to be enjoying their jobs. Chandler has worked most nights this week and has come home tired, but happy.
Looking forward to a day off and catching up tomorrow and this weekend.

Weeks are getting super busy around here. With Chandler working and having baseball, Bailey having her paper route and now adding track, I seem to drive all day every day. Add a job and a house to clean to that and my time is pretty limited. Oh..and a husband who's foot isn't healing well (8-12 more weeks in a boot). Ahhh, life is good!!
