Holy cow. Life is just flying by. Going back to work really put a kink in time for me to get anything else done!
Ryan LOVES to be home with Grammy and greets her with a smile every day. Today he even gave her a kiss. My cute boy!
He is walking pretty much everywhere. He only crawls every once in a while or at night when he is tired. It is funny to watch him at night walking because he is like a drunk sailor...LOL!
We got him his 3rd new pair of shoes since he has been home because his feet are growing like weeds...LOL...from a size 4 to 7 in 7 weeks. Will update with pictures on of the days this week.

It's back to work for me....
Well, we have been home just over 6 weeks, and now it is back to work for me. At least for a few weeks. I was asked to go back in a temp position for 8 weeks to the assisted living I worked at a few years ago. I will work Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 11-4. This way I can be around when the big kids get home from their after school program and also be around to make dinner.
Aaron's mom is going to be watching Ryan at our house. I sure hope that it all goes well. It has been me and him for the last 6 weeks and I just pray that he does okay with change.
He is sleeping through the night, but he really only sleeps for 9 hours which is fine...BUT he goes to bed at 8:30 or 9:00 meaning he is up at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. I am so glad Aaron said he would take the mornings...LOL!
Today we are heading up to our friends house for them to meet Ryan and I bet all the kids will have a great time playing outside!

Swimming!
We were at my grandfathers funeral over the last 2 days and ended up staying in a hotel for the night. The kids went swimming....ALL of them. Although Ryan lasted about 3 minutes in the pool. He sure liked watching the big kids swim though. His favorite was when they would do handstands and wiggle their toes. He would laugh and laugh!

Weekend Update with...
Oh..it's just me! Did anyone see SNL last night with Tina Fey doing Sarah Palin. As Bailey would say...OMG! It was TOO funny. I about died laughing. She looks like, talks like, motions like her...dead on. Anyhow...it was really funny.
Sad weekend, fun weekend too. My dad's dad died on Friday, so he has been dealing with all the arrangements and such in the cities. My cousin was home from Iraq and we had a party for her at my aunties and all the cousins got together. That was fun. :) Ryan had a great time looking at the cows with Chandler and getting stroller rides from Bailey. We must have worn him out as he slept all night. WOOHOO!
My mom's birthday was today so we spent some time with her. I way outdid myself in the gift department and she LOVED the gifts. You know how when you find something for someone and it is just PERFECT? The stars all lined up and it worked out great.
We stil have the fall colds at our house. We are starting to feel better, but they are still there.
We had our first "family picture" taken on Saturday. Don't mind our runny, wet, red noses and dirty clothes. We will have someone take some other ones on Wednesday when we are dressed up for the funeral.

Revenge of the summer colds....part duex
Well, I guess since it feels like fall, and is almost fall, they can be called fall colds. Aaron, Bailey, Ryan and I all have the cold. Chandler seems to be okay, but we will see what happens this weekend.
Ryan was so congested last night and he couldn't sleep so our streak stopped at 2 nights. Sigh...he was up from 2 to 5. I was feeling so miserable that I couldn't sleep much so I think I slept about 3 hours. I am waiting for him to take his afternooon nap so I can go down too. Right now he is just reading his books and sneezing...LOL! Guess I am going to have to clean the books when he goes down.
Tomorrow we get to celebrate with our family and it will sure be fun. I can't wait. I hope we are all feeling better.
I was getting frustrated that none of my clothes were really fitting anymore and so I decided to step on the scale. 13 lbs down since we got home with Ryan. Woohoo...my instant weight loss plan worked. :) I am going to keep moving...maybe it will warm up today so we can go for a walk.

2 nights in a row!
Woohoo! 2 nights he has slept 9 hours in a row. Mom is getting some good sleep these days. His cold is still acting up, but hopefully naps during the day help it go away faster. It has been rainy here today so we haven't been able to go for our walk. Maybe soon it clear up and we can go after his nap.

This Kid...LOL!
He slept through the night last night. WITH a cold...LOL! I give up. I don't do anything different from day to day and the results can vary so much.
Sadly, I think he passed the cold back to me too. Ick.
Chandler and Bailey have had lots of homework these days. Chandler is rewriting the Constitution in his own words for World Studies and Bailey is journaling about a caterpillar growing into a monarch for Science. Sadly, her caterpillar went missing last night, so hopefully her teacher will give her a new one or her and Aaron are going a huntin to night for one!

Look at Me!!
Ryan LOVES his walker. We were hoping it would make him a little more independent and start walking on his own, but he isn't ready yet. He loves to cruise around with the walker and try and push things out of his way. He actually figured out how to turn it around and walk backward with it. This kid is sure mechanical!
Another LONG night last night, but he is always pretty happy so that is a positive. I am pretty sure he is teething as he is chewing on the corner of the sliding door now...LOL...that and the icky diapers. I forgot about those.

I love books!
Doesn't this picture say it all?? We can read the same book over and over and over again and he still wants to come back for more.
He sure is a silly little monkey. He slept from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am today, so that is a start. I think that is about the stretch of time he goes. Maybe if we move his bedtime to be later, he will get up at 6:30. I just wonder if he shouldn't be sleeping more at night and less during the day. (He sleeps for about 4 hours during the day).
We started carpooling with 2 other families today, and I sure hope that goes well. It means we drive the kids to school every 3rd week.
Ahhh...nap time for him, time to get dinner started and lunch eaten.

Still no sleep
I sure wish we could figure out why this little guy isn't sleeping very well. Last night was another tough nite. He went down at 8:30 only to wake up at 1:30 a.m. and stayed up for about a 1/2 hour and then up for the morning at 4:30 a.m. (Thanks to Aaron for staying up for that.) He didn't really take a super long nap and wasn't a grump or anything. I wonder how tonight will be.
Ryan has started attacking his monkey and is now taking him pretty much everywhere he goes. Monkey went in to the OR with him, so I suspect they formed quite a bond while in there...LOL!
The other thing he came out attached to was his paci. He was never a paci kid before, but now it is something he looks for most of the time. It isn't an addiction yet, but I can see it going that way. He and Bailey like to have paci wars where Bailey steals his paci and she goes back and gets it from him and he laughs and laughs. Here is during their last one!

Just a quick update
Ryan is sleeping, well he has been for a little bit and I was cleaning up, so I have to make this quick.
Surgery went very well yesterday. The mass they saw in his bladder was gone by the time they did the pre op ultrasound so they just did the circumcision. He was sore and crabby yesterday, but work up today Mr. Happy Pants, just like a normal day. The only issue is really diaper changes as we have to put vasoline on his little thingy and that must sting.
The kids are doing great in school, having a good time and doing their homework right away. We are all stil a little short on sleep so this weekend will be good to catch up on that for all of us.
With the fall weather, Ryan and I may have to make a mall run to find some pants. He has a few, but most are too long. The 18 months pants fit him around the waist but they are about 3 inches too long....maybe even longer than that.

Curse of the end of summer cold
Ahhh...school is here. Chandler and Bailey were up bright and early this AM to get ready to go to school. We didn't have a very restful night as Ryan was up quite a bit and I got the dreaded summer cold and could barely function.
It looks like Ryan has gotten the cold now. His little nose is drippy and he has a cough and he just isn't happy. He crashed really early for his nap. I am hoping he will sleep for a while as he needs it. (and so do I)!
We find out how extensive his surgery on Thursday tomorrow. We are hoping for the best news we can get!
